Our recent adventure took us to one of Thailand’s most breathtaking natural wonders: Erawan Waterfalls. Nestled within the lush Erawan National Park, this stunning multi-tiered waterfall is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Dear Lykkers! If you're planning a visit, here’s a peek into our unforgettable experience and some essential tips to make the most of your trip.

The Allure of Erawan Waterfalls

Erawan Waterfalls, named after the three-headed elephant of Hindu mythology, is renowned for its seven tiers of cascading waters, each more mesmerizing than the last. As we trekked through the emerald forest, we were greeted by crystal-clear pools perfect for a refreshing dip. The hike to the top is invigorating, with each tier offering unique views and swimming spots.
We spent hours exploring the various levels, from the lower tiers where gentle streams invite relaxation, to the upper levels that provide panoramic views of the surrounding jungle. The vibrant turquoise waters and the surrounding lush greenery felt like stepping into a tropical paradise.

Practical Information: Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

Erawan Waterfalls is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. To make the most of your visit, we recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds and enjoy a more serene experience. Entrance fees are quite reasonable: 300 THB (about $9 USD) for adults and 150 THB (about $4.50 USD) for children.
Be sure to bring cash, as credit card payments are not accepted at the park’s entrance. Also, remember to wear comfortable hiking shoes, as the trails can be slippery, especially after rain.

Where to Stay: A Nearby Gem

After a day of exploring the waterfall, we found solace at the nearby Erawan Villa Hotel, a charming retreat just a short drive from the park. This boutique hotel offers cozy bungalows surrounded by nature, providing the perfect setting for relaxation. Rates start at around 1,800 THB (approximately $55 USD) per night for a standard room. The resort features a serene garden, a swimming pool, and an on-site restaurant serving delicious local and international cuisine.

Local Flavors: Dining Around Erawan Waterfalls

No trip is complete without savoring the local cuisine, and we indulged in some fantastic Thai dishes near Erawan. Just outside the park, we discovered several eateries offering delicious fare:
Khao Soi Khun Yai: This small, family-run restaurant is famous for its Khao Soi, a rich and flavorful noodle soup. A bowl of this comforting dish costs about 60 THB (around $1.80 USD).
Pattara’s Thai Kitchen : Known for its authentic Thai flavors, Pattara’s offers a range of dishes including Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong. Meals here are reasonably priced, with most dishes ranging between 80-150 THB (about $2.50-$4.50 USD).
Erawan Cafeteria: Conveniently located near the park entrance, this spot provides quick bites and snacks. We enjoyed their fried spring rolls and mango sticky rice, with prices around 50-100 THB (approximately $1.50-$3 USD).
