Base Makeup Glow!

· Fashion Team
There’s something about building a small makeup collection that feels more thoughtful than just owning a lot of products. I’ve started to notice I don’t really need ten different bases—I just need a couple that understand different kinds of days.
These two ended up being my go-to pair, not because they’re similar, but because they balance each other out.
1. Make Up For Ever HD Skin Foundation
This one feels precise, almost like it knows exactly what it’s supposed to do. The finish leans natural but refined—skin still looks like skin, just more even, more put together. I notice it most when I’m out for longer hours; it holds up without needing much attention. It’s not heavy, but it has enough structure to make everything look a bit more polished. I usually reach for this when I want that “everything is in place” kind of look.
2. Dior Forever Hydra Glow Cushion
This feels like the opposite mood—lighter, fresher, almost effortless. The cushion format makes it easy to tap on quickly, and the finish has that subtle glow that catches light in a really natural way. I like using this on days when I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing much at all, but still want my skin to look awake. It’s less about coverage and more about that healthy, slightly luminous effect.
Having just these two made me realize I don’t need a complicated lineup. When each product has its own role, everything feels more intentional and less cluttered.
