Once the weather starts heating up, my skincare routine changes almost immediately. Heavy creams that felt comforting during colder days suddenly become too rich, and my skin starts craving something lighter and fresher.
I still want hydration, of course, but I don’t want my face feeling greasy by midday. Lately, these two moisturizers have been the ones I keep coming back to because they hydrate beautifully without that heavy, suffocating feeling.

1. Mary & May Sensitive Shooting Gel Cream

The first time I used this cream, I honestly expected it to feel much thicker because of the word “intensive” in the name. Surprisingly, the texture feels lightweight and smooth on the skin, almost like a soft cushion of hydration rather than a heavy cream. What makes this moisturizer stand out for me is the healthy glow it gives.
The combination of idebenone and blackberry extract helps the skin look brighter and more refreshed, especially on days when my complexion looks tired or dull. It leaves behind a subtle dewy finish that looks fresh without crossing into oily territory.

2. Jumiso Waterfull Hyaluronic Cream

If I had to describe this moisturizer in one word, it would probably be refreshing. The gel-cream texture feels cool the moment it touches the skin, which honestly feels amazing on hot, humid days. The hydration level is impressive without feeling heavy. Since it contains multiple types of hyaluronic acid, it gives that plump, hydrated look while still absorbing quickly. My skin feels moisturized for hours, but never sticky or greasy afterward.
I especially think this moisturizer works beautifully for oily or combination skin types because it feels breathable and lightweight. It’s the kind of product that disappears into the skin in the best way possible.
Choosing between them depends on what your skin is craving. Some days I want that soft, dewy glow from Mary & May, while other days I just want the cooling hydration that Jumiso gives so effortlessly. Either way, both have earned a permanent spot in my warm-weather skincare rotation.
