Some lip tints look amazing for five minutes and then completely disappear after one drink. Others stay on forever but leave my lips feeling dry. So whenever I find one that gets the balance right, it immediately earns a spot in my makeup pouch.
Here are my honest ratings for three lip tints I've been using lately!
1. Base "Gloss & Go" Lip Tint — 9/10
This one gets a solid 9/10 from me because it checks almost every box. The formula feels comfortable, the glossy finish makes my lips look fuller, and the color applies beautifully without looking patchy. I also love how easy it is to wear—whether I'm doing a full face of makeup or just sunscreen and brows, it somehow works. The only thing keeping it from a perfect score is that I wish the gloss lasted a little longer. Other than that, it's the type of lip tint I can reach for without second-guessing.
2. Dazzle Me Juicy Punch Lip Tint — 7/10
Don't get me wrong—the color is pretty, and the lightweight texture makes it very beginner-friendly. It gives a fresh, youthful look that I think a lot of people would enjoy for daily wear. However, the staying power isn't my favorite. I find myself reapplying more often than I'd like, especially after eating or drinking. It's still a nice lip tint for casual days, but compared to some of my other favorites, it doesn't last as well.
3. OhMySkin! Ink Tint — 8.5/10
This one earns an 8.5/10 from me. The standout feature is definitely the stain. Even after the initial layer fades, my lips still have a nice tint left behind, which makes touch-ups less stressful throughout the day. I also like how the color develops on my lips. It gives that naturally flushed effect instead of looking overly dramatic. The formula feels comfortable and doesn't leave my lips feeling dry, which is always a huge plus. The only reason it's not higher is because I personally prefer a slightly glossier finish.
A lip tint doesn't have to be perfect to become a favorite. Sometimes it's just the one you keep tossing into your bag before leaving the house—and for me, that's exactly what happened with Base "Gloss & Go." Once I started reaching for it without even thinking, I knew it had won.
